A New World Starts with You

Mother Teresa said ” If you want world peace. Go home and love your family. This got me thinking of the ways in which live out our day to day. The frustration, the sadness, the discontentment which on some level has become our new normal. Having conversations about others, well more specifically judging them about what they need to do to change. That if everyone else changes then the world would be so much better, basically what I’m saying is if you do it my way there would be no conflict. I have gotten into the habit of catching myself mid-thought, mid conversation and saying “stop it that’s judgemental, that’s your ego talking”. Learning to control your thoughts and attitudes will be one of our greatest challenges to overcome if we want to see genuine change in our time here. Romans 12:2 ” Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will. Looking at the pattern of words renewing your mind…..then you will be able. Dominion over the earth is something we read early on in the book of genesis where God tells Adam to start naming the animals and then tend to the garden. I think we are being pointed towards taking charge and maintaining the gifts we are given. To go deeper, have dominion over yourself. To control your self, to change your perspective, to bend when circumstances change.To believe you can change and grow into who you were created to be. Believe in the God given talents you have , believe you are here for a reason, and believe God has an amazing call on your life. As transformation happens one person at a time the world can be a better place but know that it starts with you. Stop looking left and right, stay on your path, stay focused , otherwise you walk by site and not faith. Faith, hope and love are the ingredients we all ,already have so let’s use what we have.
