Bend or Break

Life is full of twists, turns , hills and valleys.  Like we drive ours cars we follow the road so that we don’t fall away or miss our destination.  It makes me think of riding a motorcycle. Have you ever watched someone on a bike taking a sharp turn and lean into the curve.  I think that our heavenly father wants us to do the same in our relationship with him.  We may question the obstacle or the course ahead of us but above all he asks we be flexible and trust.  Deuteronomy 31:6 hints to this ” The Lord your God is with you.  He will never leave you or forsake you”.  It means he is with us at all times. He is with us when your right and continues to take care of you when your wrong.  More than this he uses the example the  potter and the clay.  Jeremiah 18 describes a person spinning clay sees it doesn’t look to good so the potter chooses to do a reboot and fix it up per se.   God is the potter and we are the clay so at times when we become inflexible we need to re-assess .  Are we going to follow free will or God’s will.  I believe that when God is spinning us , he is actually repairing what is broken and creating a new thing.  So the decision we have to make is not easy or simple because we need to let go of some thoughts or ideas of how we view life.  The path of least resistance is not always easier; it make work in the short-term but can have long-term residual scarring.  I encourage people to be flexible look at situations from different angles not just your own opinion.  The reason I say this is that over time inflexibility and stiffness will reach a peak and break you.  So here you have a choice bend or break.  How many times do you want to have to repeat the same lesson????
